The Waipara Wine Experience is a wine tour for up to 6 people. It includes all transport, including pick up and drop off in central Christchurch, wine tastings at some of the finest boutique wineries in the area and a winery lunch.

Private or Shared Tour?

This tour started as a shared tour for couples but some people asked if they could have a private group. The shared tour is a cost effective package for 2 or 3 and has better availability, a private tour is better suited to groups of 4 or more and can be customised to suit your preferences. - PN. If you are arriving on a cruise you should book a private tour and add a Lyttelton pick up.

What does it cost?

The cost of your tour will depend on how many people are in your group and whether you choose a Private or Shared Tour.

For example a fully inclusive tour for 6 people is just $139pp (plus booking fee).

GILES GUIDED TOURS

A Giles Guided Tour is a private tour for up to 6 people. It includes all transport in a luxury, air conditioned MPV, including pick up from your accommodation in Christchurch and guided tastings, but not the cost of your wine tastings or lunch.

What does a Giles Guided Tour cost?

A Giles Guided Tour costs just $300 for 4, ($75 per person). Just click on the link below, select your date and Giles will be in touch to arrange your itinerary. If you are arriving on a cruise ship you will need to add the Lyttelton pick up option.

"Booking with Giles was a simple experience and he was adaptable in terms of pick ups and drop offs which was fantastic. Giles has an extensive knowledge of the wines of the region and wine in general which he was enthusiastic (but not pushy) about sharing. He was more than happy to jump in with tasting notes, helpful tips and personal favorites. We visited Pegasus Bay, Greystone, Torlesse and Terrace Edge wineries. Each place had a lot to offer and there were plenty of tastings!
